THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS:
JOIN US FOR THE 16TH ANNUAL DOWNTOWN SAILING SERIES!
Founded in 2004 as a vehicle to get Seattle boaters out on their boats, the Downtown Sailing Series is a casual weekly summer regatta showcasing the sport of sailing to the citizens of Seattle. Popular with local boating enthusiasts, the post-regatta party has taken on a life of its own as great venue for building a sense of community. Since its partnership with the Leukemia Cup Regatta in 2005, the Downtown Sailing Series has helped raise more than $1,500,000 for blood borne disease. Join our incredible sponsors and loyal participants in this summertime tradition!
Race or cruise with dozens of boats of every size as they set sail from Elliott Bay Marina, cross the Seattle skyline and run back. Afterwards celebrate over beer, wine and hotdogs at the Seattle Yacht Club outstation. You may even win a sail bag of goodies from our sponsors. It’s a great way to spend time with your mates and meet fellow sailors!
Leukemia Cup Regatta Returning to Elliott Bay Marina
The 2019 Leukemia Cup Regatta takes place on Saturday, June 8th and is the first race of the Downtown Sailing Series. This unique sailing event combines the joy of boating with the important task of raising money to fight leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers.
Since its inception, the Leukemia Cup Regatta has raised millions of dollars for lifesaving research and patient services, bringing help and hope to patients and their families. In addition to funding blood cancer research, dollars raised also provide support services for local patients and their families.
We’d love for your crew to join us in an effort to beat our fundraising total from last year, and a friendly fundraising competition has already begun. Don’t miss out on the fun, and importance, of this regatta! Visit LeukemiaCup.org/Events to register today.
